Sneak peek...

So, as much as I said I was trying not to go back in, I went into school today for a few hours.  Yesterday, I realized that my Jobs Chart didn't match my ocean themed classroom, so I HAD to come home and make one.  After an hour of cutting, laminating, "Cameo-ing," and sticking, my Jobs Chart is finally complete!  Take a peek!

Do you LOVE it??? It's available at my TPT store. :-)  Click the icon below to check it out!

Getting back in the groove...FREEBIE ALERT!

Hey! I'm Erin...the only female in our wonderful trifecta, so clearly, I'm the one in charge. :-)  A little info about myself...I'll begin my sixth year teaching in just a few days.  I started teaching second, then moved to third with some of my kiddies, then was moved to first which is where I currently call home...and I wouldn't have it any other way!  I absolutely love first grade & the little firsties that blossom into fluent readers by the end of the year.  I have a coteacher who I absolutely adore--she is truly amazing.  We have decided to tackle the Daily 5 this year and are SOOOOO---> excited to begin!  We have spent the past few months leveling books, leveling books, and leveling books.  Oh, and we also searched far & wide for the perfect book bins.  && made an amazing little reading nook in our classroom...do you know how difficult it is to figure out how to fit a reading nook into a room with two teachers, two huge teachers' desks, two reading tables, two filing cabinets,.....not to mention 22 student desks!!  Let's just say it was interesting! :-)  We have the Scott Foresman Reading Street curriculum, so plan to incorporate some of their stuff into our day too.

So, we have spent the past couple days unpacking, labeling, organizing, and rearranging.  It's finally starting to come together...I can't wait until it does, so I can share the transformation with everyone.  We have a beachy theme in our room, since we both wish we could live somewhere where it's warm and sunny all the time!  Beachy decor, polka dots, and bright colors make us happy, so expect a lot of them in the pics. :-)

Anyway, enough rambling and onto the good stuff!  Like any other teacher, I'm obsessed with TPT and recently created my own store.  There are a few FREEBIES in the store, so be sure to check it out HERE!  If you use Reading Street, you should absolutely follow me on TPT... most of the products posted follow Reading Street & I have TONS more to upload.

Onto the FREEBIE of the day...I needed some new labels for centers & tables that matched the ocean decor, so I figured why not go blue?!  Everyone likes blue, right?! Plus, there's a touch of polka dots which makes it even more "Erin-ized."  Just click the picture to go grab your freebie!  Please remember to leave feedback & follow my TPT store....pretty, pretty please??? :-)

I hope you enjoy!

Welcome!!

Hello & welcome to our blog!  The Teacher Trifecta is made up of three friends from college who all became elementary teachers.  Two of us teach first grade and one of us recently moved from second grade to become the computer teacher.  We all share the same views of engaging students and making learning fun...AKA "tricking" students into learning without them knowing! :-)  We plan to use this blog to share our triumphs, challenges, and most importantly--our activites for you to use! Talk to you soon!
